Overview

One of the goals of this website is to highlight individuals who are working to create a better future for both people and wildlife. If you are a conservationist, wildlife biologist, social scientist, artist, student, wildlife enthusiast, or any other person with a passion for the natural world; you may qualify to be featured on The Jaguar and its Allies.

There are two main post types available: Q&As and guest posts.

Q&As: This is a simple and straightforward option. Once I have agreed to feature you, I will go through whatever publicly available information about you I can find (research papers, blog posts, etc.)* and generate 4-5 open-ended questions about you and your work. You then send me the answers to those questions, along with 2-4 relevant pictures, and I will construct a blog post.

Here is an example of a Q&A post.

* The process will go faster if you send me links to relevant publications and/or websites.

Guests Posts: Another option is to is for you to write a guest post for The Jaguar and its Allies. Send me an 800 word essay on a topic that we agree upon in advance, along with 2-4 relevant pictures, and I will fashion a blog post; replete with a short introduction about you and links to any websites you might have.

Here is an example of a guest post. If you need help deciding on a topic, contact me and I will generate some ideas.

A third available post type is an actual interview. These are similar to Q&As, except that we speak over the phone or in person. However, interviews are geographically limited. I do not make any money from this site, so I cannot afford to be making frequent international calls or long trips. Phone interviews are restricted to the United States, and in-person interviews to northeast Ohio.

Skype interviews are another, less geographically bounded possibility. If you would like to be interviewed over Skype for The Jaguar and its Allies, please let me know so we can make arrangements.

Here is an example of an in-person interview.
