Snow Leopard Trust has been working with communities throughout the snow leopard’s range to encourage the conservation of this almost mythical cat. Local people in Pakistan have been particularly helpful, showing great tolerance for Panthera uncia. But now they need our help.
Last month, Snow Leopard Conservation Communities in Pakistan were devastated by powerful floods. Human lives, homes, and basic survival necessities have all been washed away. It goes without saying that snow leopard conservation in the region has also suffered a terrible setback.
Snow Leopard Trust is raising money to help its partner communities recover.
Of particular importance is the need to restore drinking water. These communities have made many sacrifices to make sure the rest of the world can enjoy snow leopards. Now it’s time for us to return the favor.
