
One of the points I wish to make moving forward is that conservation is not just something that happens ‘out there’ in the wilderness. Urban and suburban neighborhoods are just as embedded in natural systems as rural ones, and what happens in human-dominated landscapes matters. This will become increasingly true as cities grow.
A reader alerted me to an infographic about “Conservation Friendly Construction.” While it is geared towards audiences in the United Kingdom, the information it contains can be applied to a variety of contexts. Of particular interest to me is the emphasis on bat-friendly construction, because bats are awesome.
