I just learned about an awesome new sweepstakes that I have to share with all of you. My favorite coffee roaster, La Colombe, is teaming up with three other organizations to send two lucky winners to Yellowstone National Park – along with a host of other prizes.

My primary vice is coffee. I have tried several different roasters over the years, but I keep coming back to La Colombe.* Their coffees seem to have more flavor than everyone else’s, they are always prompt with their shipments, and I have always had pleasant interactions with their customer service team. Now, La Colombe is also helping to protect the United States’ incredible national parks.

In this blog post, La Colombe announced that they had teamed up with the National Park Foundation (NPF) to counter the increasing threats facing some of the US’ most cherished places. La Colombe has pledged to donate at least $100,000 to the NPF, and for the next year they will be donating 5 cents for every specially-marked can of Vanilla and Triple Draft Latte that they sell.

La Colombe is also supporting the national parks by helping people to fall in love with them. This is where the sweepstakes comes in.

As Survivorman – Les Stroud said, directly interacting with the natural world is the best way to feel connected to it. Yellowstone, WY by leonmoore101. CC BY-NC-ND 2.0

La Colombe, the Parks Project, Under Canvas, and Domino have partnered to launch the Keep America Wild Sweepstakes. Those who enter have a chance to win the following prizes:

  • A three-night stay at Under Canvas Yellowstone
  • Cost of flights for two people for up to $1,500
  • One National Parks pass that is good through December 31, 2018
  • A $200 gift card to Parks Project
  • One year’s worth of La Colombe coffee

Those are all incredible prizes. If you would like a shot at winning them, or simply want to learn more, visit this site. If you would like to read about La Colombe’s new partnership with the NPF, this blog post has more information.

Also, I recommend any coffee lovers out there to give La Colombe a try. If you do not live near any of their cafes, you can always order a package of beans from their online store. I am quite fond of their For Haiti blend, as well as their single-origin Ethiopia – Ardi roast.

Good luck in the sweepstakes!

          1. Haha, I’m quite a fan of espresso myself. My favorite kind of espresso is the traditional Italian kind that’s made with a Moka pot. The espresso it produces isn’t quite as bitter as what you get when you order a shot of espresso from a café, and it brings out the individual tasting notes of the coffee quite well. The downside is that Moka pots don’t produce much, if any, crema.
